Almost 170 participants took part in the 33rd Liebenau Volkslauf on April 27, 2025. The organizers of the Liebenau running club were pleased with the excellent weather and the numerous participants from near and far who demonstrated their endurance. The running course was in very good condition, and the new electronic timing system facilitated the evaluation of the event. Particularly noteworthy was the high number of children and young people, while the participants ran on varied routes through the "Eickhofer Heide."
Highlights
- The youngest participant was 5-year-old Max Kaiser from GC Nendorf, who completed the 800-meter distance in 4:49 minutes.
- Christoph Bethke (M 40) from Lübbecke won the ten-mile distance in 1:04:05.
- The overall winner of the 5.4 kilometers was Jurek Hegemann (MHK), ASS-Bau Liebenau, in an impressive time of 19:15 minutes.
